While many fans thought their team should have been the last team in the NCAA Tournament, many others had to feel good for Baylor.
The Bears have been through a lot since the murder of Patrick Dennehy in 2003. The coach at the time, Dave Bliss, was forced to resign after he characterized Dennehy as […]

During the Alabama/Mississippi St. game a tornado hit downtown Atlanta and caused the Georgia Dome’s roof to cave in.
The tornado caused a lot of damage to neighboring buildings such as the CNN Center and Omni Hotel.
Below is some aerial shots of the damage it caused.
Be on the lookout for up-to-date live blogging of the selection […]

Minnesota freshman Blake Hoffarber made his second career incredible buzzer-beater shot to win a big game.
Last night, Hoffarber made this left-handed miracle to beat Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament. The shot literally gave the Gophers a shot at an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament. I still don’t think they will get […]

Another day in the PAC-10 and another bad call decides an important game. Arizona State junior Jeff Pendergraph was called for an over-the-back foul on his follow-up slam dunk that would tied the game with 17 seconds to play. Personally, I thought it was a bad call. The worst part about the […]

Unlike the other battles this championship week, that fight was broken up after some feelings were hurt during a mascot dance off. In the game, Oral Roberts defeated IUPUI 71-64.
Along with Oral Roberts, 13 other teams have already clinched their spots in the NCAA Tournament by winning their conference tournaments.

Before the West Coast Conference started its conference tournament, everyone knew the two teams that would be playing in the NCAA Tournament.
Gonzaga and St. Mary’s were locks to make it.
Add San Diego to that list of WCC teams in the NCAA Tournament, as the Toreros defeated Gonzaga 69-62 in conference championship game […]

Three teams clinched the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.
Duke played North Carolina.
However, the most exciting finish had to be the California at UCLA game.
At the very end, the Bruins won the game on a controversial shot by Josh Shipp.
On the play, it appeared that Shipp’s shot flew over the back of the backboard and […]

As expected UNC-Asheville (23-9, 10-4 in conference) and Winthrop (22-11, 10-4 in conference) met in the Big South Tournament championship game.
Senior Michael Jenkins scored a season-high 33 points in the Eagles 66-48 win over the the Bulldogs.
Selfishly I wanted to see the Bulldogs make the tournament so the country could get to see […]

While most college basketball fans stayed up late to watch Stanford at UCLA, I was one of the few wanting to watch some conference tournament games.
Two more tournaments started on Thursday and four more begin on Friday.
The best tournament to start so far, the Missouri Valley Conference, kicked off on Thursday with two […]

Three more conference tournaments start on Wednesday.
ATLANTIC SUN
Remember the Atlantic Sun, it was the conference that captured our attention during college basketball’s first weekend. The Mercer Bears (11-18, 6-10 in conference) spoiled O.J. Mayo’s college debut by beating USC 96-81. The Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs (15-15, 9-7 in conference) and Belmont […]
