C Ronnie Shavlik (6′ 8″ 200 lbs.)
School’s all-time leading rebounder. Led team to three ACC titles in every one of his three varsity seasons. Averaged 19.5 rebounds as a senior.
F Kenny Carr (6′ 8″ 220 lbs.)
One of the better all-around players in school history. Averaged 26.6 points and 10.3 rebounds in 1976.
G/F David Thompson (6′ 4″ 195 lbs.)
By far the greatest player in school history. Led team to the 1974 National Championship. Averaged 26.8 points in three seasons on the varsity level. His #44 is retired.
G Rodney Monroe (6′ 3″ 185 lbs.)
School’s all-time leading scorer. ACC Player of the Year in 1991 when he averaged 27 points.
G Chris Corchiani (6′ 1″ 185 lbs.)
First player in NCAA history to reach 1,000 career assists. Owns many school records, including single season records (steals, assists) and all-time records (steals, assists). He also has the team record for assists in a game.

C Tommy Burleson (7′ 4″ 225 lbs.)
Along with Thompson, won 1974 National Championship. School’s second all-time leading rebounder. Averaged 12.7 rebounds and 19.0 points in three seasons on varsity.
G/F Julius Hodge (6′ 7″ 210 lbs.)
Great all-around player - 2004 ACC Player of the Year, his FG percentage was 50.7% that year. School’s third all-time leading scorer and fourth in career assists.
G Sidney Lowe (6′ 0″ 195 lbs.)
Help led school to ‘83 National Championship. Second in school history in career assists and assists in a single season (’83). Third all-time in career steals.
F Thuri Bailey (6′ 11″ 215 lbs.)
Key member on ‘83 championship team. Led school in scoring and rebounding for three consecutive seasons.
F Tom Gugliotta (6′ 10″ 240 lbs.)
Averaged 22.5 points and 9.8 rebounds as a senior. Great all-around player, known more for his long NBA career.
N.C. State is very rich in tradition - the school’s recent history doesn’t compare to how good the Wolfpack were during the 50s through the 80s. Sorry to the players that were left off my all-time team - Sammy Ranzino, Bobby Speight, Lorenzo Charles (nice dunk in ‘83 championship game), Todd Fuller, Chucky Brown, Vinny Del Negro, Nate McMillan, Vann Williford and Spud Webb.
